Dusan Vlahovic is set to be sidelined for at least the next three months following Juventus’s confirmation of his adductor injury.
Vlahovic was visibly distraught when he had to come off through injury after 30 minutes of Juve’s 2-1 win over Cagliari in Serie A on Saturday afternoon.
The Serbia international, who is Juventus’s leading goalscorer across all competitions with seven this term, reported for tests at JMedical on Monday morning, and the club have since confirmed the results.
“The tests revealed a high-grade injury to the muscle-tendon junction of the left adductor longus. Further medical consultations will be necessary to determine the most appropriate treatment,” read a statement from the club on Monday afternoon.

According to updates from La Gazzetta dello Sport, the ‘high-grade’ nature of this injury means that Vlahovic is facing a spell of at least three months before he is back to full fitness.
It remains to be seen exactly when the former Fiorentina striker will return, but reports indicate that he could miss anywhere between 14 and 18 matches across Serie A, the Coppa Italia and the Champions League.
With Vlahovic unavailable for the foreseeable, it is expected that Luciano Spalletti will look to restructure the Bianconeri attacking department. Recent reports suggest that he will swap from a three-man attack to a front two with Kenan Yildiz moved more centrally to accompany either Jonathan David, Lois Openda or Francisco Conceicao.
It remains to be seen what this injury means for Vlahovic’s long-term future with Juventus given that he will be out of contract on June 30, 2026.
