Christian Imga impresses with stunning strike on first start as Bilbao Athletic win 3-1 | OneFootball

Christian Imga marked his first Bilbao Athletic start with a superb opener after half an hour in Pontevedra, the visitors winning 3-1 at Pasarón.

According to El Correo, the Zumarraga-born winger joined Athletic in January 2025 from Deportivo Alavés as a long-term investment, having also attracted Atlético de Madrid.

Since arriving he has progressed steadily, becoming the 11th-youngest debutant in Bilbao Athletic history last week at 17 years, six months and 20 days. Today brought his first goal for the reserves.

Right-footed but stationed on the left, Imga stands over 1.90 metres, combining power with speed and two-footed dribbling, often cutting inside to shoot. Within the first-team set-up, the closest stylistic match is Nico Williams.
