Christopher Nkunku has been heavily linked with a move away from Milan in recent weeks, with several reports suggesting the club is ready to cut its losses on the Frenchman. According to La Repubblica (via Calciomercato), the Rossoneri management has been entirely unconvinced by his impact at San Siro, tasking his agent, Pini Zahavi, with finding a new destination as early as January.
While Turkish giants Fenerbahce and Galatasaray have shown concrete interest, Juventus has also been mentioned as a potential suitor, reportedly exploring a swap deal involving Federico Gatti. However, Nkunku chose the final match of 2025 to start proving his detractors wrong.
In today’s Serie A clash against Verona, the former Chelsea man was the undisputed protagonist. Nkunku doubled Milan’s lead from the penalty spot early in the second half before pouncing on a rebound to complete a clinical brace, guiding Massimiliano Allegri’s side to a dominant 3-0 victory. This timely resurgence may force the Milan hierarchy to reconsider their exit strategy as the transfer window approaches.
