According to L’Équipe, Christopher Wooh (22) has rejected a move to Burnley. The Cameroon international is set to remain with Stade Rennais until the end of the season.
Wooh has returned to Rennes following Cameroon’s elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). He returns to increased competition. Warmed Omari’s performances, as well as the imminent arrival of Alidu Seidu from Clermont Foot means that Wooh will have a challenge to start, although it has been rumoured that Seidu could play wing-back in Julien Stephan’s system.
The Cameroon defender has attracted interest this month, notably from England. However, Wooh has rejected a move to Burnely, according to L’Équipe. Instead, Vincent Kompany’s side are set to recruit Maxime Estève from Montpellier HSC. Wooh, whose contract with Les Rennais is set to run until the summer of 2026, is now set to remain at the club, at least until the end of the current season.
