According to Sky Sport Italia, Bournemouth have an agreement in place to sign Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas on a loan with an obligation to buy for a total €17.5m. Final details are being finalised and he should travel for a medical in the coming days.

The move would represent a significant profit for Lazio, who brought the Greece international in from OFI Crete for €1.3m in September 2023.

Although Mandas was often selected by Marco Baroni last season, Maurizio Sarri has consistently preferred Ivan Provedel. As a result, he has made only one appearance this season in the Coppa Italia and has not featured in Serie A.

Interest had also arrived from the Premier League, with West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers among the clubs monitoring him.

There was a possibility of remaining in Serie A too, with Juventus showing interest.
