Cibao FC secures place in Caribbean Cup Semifinals | OneFootball

SANTIAGO DE LOS CABALLEROS, Dominican Republic – The 2025 Concacaf Caribbean Cup continued with Cibao FC earning a 3-nil win over Juventus des Cayes in Group B on Tuesday at Cibao FC Stadium in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.

With the result, Cibao FC advanced to the Caribbean Cup Semifinals. Last year’s runners-up secured another top four finish by securing a place among the top two in its group.

The Dominican side got on the board in the 14’ as Gabriel Peguero connected perfectly on the volley with a cross from Jean López.

Cibao FC doubled its lead in the 42’ by capitalizing on a giveaway, as Rivaldo Correa found the back of the net from a tight angle.

The third of the night was a nicely executed team goal started with a cross from Peguero to Correa, who headed it down perfectly to the feet of Walter Acuña for the strike.

Group B leaders Cibao FC will host Defense Force in its final Group Stage game next Wednesday.

Juventus des Cayes closes out its debut appearance in the Caribbean Cup with one point.
