City Are Back: Maresca meets the fans

The players were back at the City Football Academy and so were the fans as the countdown begins to a new season.

Supporters flooded to a sold-out Joie Stadium to watch our men’s first team’s open training session.

It was also an opportunity for our new manager, Enzo Maresca, to interact with the Blues and a chance to see the players ahead of the Community Shield and Premier League campaign.

Thousands flocked through the gates before heading to the Kids Zone with an opportunity to meet Moonchester and Moonbeam as well as picture opportunities with the Carabao Cup and FA Cup trophies.

Then on the pitch, fans got the chance to see our new signings Gerónimo Rulli and Elliot Anderson for the first time, who both received a warm welcome.

It was also a great opportunity to see some of our young talents up close too as Jeremy Monga and Kaden Braithwaite both featured.

After a tough training session as we battled against the heat, players took the time to sign autographs and pose for selfies with the fans.
