The Scout’s verdict is in for Gameweek 8 of Fantasy Premier League as City host Everton.
Pep Guardiola’s side welcome the Toffees to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday 18 October, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00 (UK).
It represents our first outing since October’s international break and the Blues will be aiming to extend our unbeaten run to eight straight matches when we host David Moyes’ side.
City’s clash with Everton is, of course, one of 10 Premier League fixtures this weekend and FPL Managers will be aiming to maximise their points return in Gameweek eight.
With that in mind, read the Scout’s latest report below!
Josko Gvardiol (£5.8m) is a great buy in Fantasy Premier League (FPL) ahead of Manchester City’s home match against Everton in Gameweek 8 (GW8).
The Croatian international missed the first three gameweeks of the season through injury, but has returned two clean sheets and two defensive contribution points in four matches since.
In GW7 he was the highest scoring defender. His 12 came courtesy of his first assist of the season and three bonus points.
In GW7 no player made more passes (101) and only two defenders played more passes in the final third (19) than Gvardiol. He was also third among defenders for shots in GW7.
Iliman Ndiaye (£6.5m) is Everton’s in-form player. The midfielder has three goals and two assists this season and has blanked only twice.
Elsewhere, West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen (£7.7m) and Newcastle’s Nick Woltemade (£7.2m) are low-owned forwards who can return points in GW8.
Bowen has scored three goals in the last five Gameweeks, and among forwards this season is third for total FPL points scored with 35.
Woltemade scored again in GW7 to make it three goals in four matches. In that time Erling Haaland (£14.5m) is the only forward to outscore the Newcastle striker.
