Josko Gvardiol is the main interview for our matchday programme against Leeds.
Fabian Delph on elite City, Leeds affection, emerging Nico and complete Haaland
In our latest edition, Gvardiol talks about his big ambitions to win more trophies with the Blues, comments on his relationship with boss Pep Guardiola and hails the team spirit in the dressing room.
This issue also includes the latest ‘Big Feature’ as we rewind back to the 1991/92 season and our role in the destiny of the First Division title.
After beating Leeds 4-0 at Maine Road, it looked like the crown would be heading to the other side of Manchester with United looking to win their first title in 25 years.
However, a 1-1 draw with the Red Devils three days later swung the race back in the favour of Howard Wilkinson’s men.
We explore that story via those who lived it – former City aces Keith Curle and David White.
We hear from a man who represented both clubs – Michael Brown – as the former midfielder assesses this weekend’s game and also gives his verdict on current central star, Nico Gonzalez.
Our Back Beat photo special, meanwhile, which always looks back at a famous moment between the two clubs, recalls a thumping goal from Danish full-back Niclas Jensen.
There’s a wealth of other great content within the 84 pages.
There are the usual favourites like Pep Guardiola’s manager notes, Mike Summerbee’s ‘Buzzer’ column and our ‘In the City’ news spreads.
Gary James brings us ‘Five, 15, 50’ focusing on seasonal highlights from those specific years while Matchday Live commentator Alistair Mann pens his latest ‘Last Mann Standing’ column.
There’s also the usual focus on what’s happening across our other teams - EDS, Under-18s and Women’s.
