FLW's Bolton fan pundit has given his verdict on a possible permanent move for Teddy Sharman-Lowe
This article is part of Football League World's 'Terrace Talk' series, which provides personal opinions from our FLW Fan Pundits regarding the latest breaking news, teams, players, managers, potential signings and more…
Teddy Sharman-Lowe has cemented himself as Bolton Wanderers’ first choice goalkeeper since arriving from Chelsea this season.
The 22-year-old arrived on loan in the summer, and has so far conceded 15 goals from the first 15 league games of the campaign.
The Whites are firmly in the mix for promotion to the Championship under Steven Schumacher, and the manager will be pleased with the progress the shot-stopper has shown at this stage.
However, it remains unclear whether the Blues would be open to a potential permanent move in 2026.
Bolton themselves are also yet to make any decision about a possible deal to keep Sharman-Lowe with the club beyond this initial temporary stint.

When asked about a potential permanent deal for the Chelsea player, FLW’s Bolton fan pundit Liam O’Meara claimed that the club are best off waiting until the summer.
He believes that the goalkeeper had a difficult start to the season, and is only finding form in recent weeks, so this kind of inconsistency means there should be no rush to get a permanent deal over the line.
“His form has improved, he had a little bit of a wobble to start at Bolton,” O’Meara told Football League World.
“I don’t think Bolton will be in any rush to make any decisions on that front.
“They’ve got him on loan to the end of the season, there’s no noises that that’s going to change.
“This is a good opportunity to look at him for the whole season.
“I’m not 100% sure of him yet, and I don’t think Bolton are either.
“I don’t think any decision needs to be made until the summer.”
Sharman-Lowe’s form improving in recent weeks has coincided with Bolton’s improved results.
The Whites have won five of their last six League One games, which has seen them rise to third in the table after 15 fixtures played.
The gap to league leaders Stockport County is only two points, meaning the club are firmly in the mix for a top two spot and promotion to the Championship.
Next up for Schumacher’s side is a trip to face fifth place Stevenage on 15 November in a 3pm kick-off.

Sharman-Lowe has kept three clean sheets in his last four league appearances, including in a big clash against promotion rivals Cardiff City.
His performances have improved as the campaign has gone on, and that is very encouraging for Schumacher.
A permanent deal could be feasible in the summer, if Bolton decide they want to keep the youngster, given how many goalkeeping options are already at Chelsea.
If he can play a key role in their promotion to the Championship, then it would be a no-brainer move for all parties based on his current form.
