Claudio Echeverri unveiled by Benfica on loan from Manchester City | OneFootball

Benfica have signed Claudio Echeverri on a season-long loan from Manchester City. The move was announced on Wednesday night.

Manchester City signed Echeverri from River Plate in 2024 for €18.5m, but he has yet to establish himself. He spent last season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen and Girona.

He made 11 appearances for Leverkusen and featured in 16 matches for Girona. Benfica will assume his full salary throughout the loan. Echeverri now looks to regain prominence at the Luz.
