‘Closed Agreement’ – Rangers Make Transfer Breakthrough, Star To ‘Travel Soon’ | OneFootball

Rangers have a ‘closed agreement’ with Spanish side Girona for the signature of Kim Min-su, who will ‘travel soon’ to undergo a medical with the Gers.

Derek McInnes wants more wide attacking options before the transfer window closes and thought he had one through the door in the shape of Couhaib Driouech.

Rangers though pulled the plug on signing the PSV Eindhoven winger due to medical concerns and he now seems set to join Celta Vigo, who have stepped in to take advantage.

A number of alternative targets have been under consideration at Ibrox and amongst them has been Girona’s Kim.

He spent last term on loan in La Liga 2 with Andorra, where he impressed, and has been a wanted man as a result.

Rangers have now moved quickly and, according to Spanish journalist Nil Sola, there is a ‘closed agreement’ for Kim to move to Scotland.

The Gers have agreed a fee of €10m with Girona for the signature of the Korean wide-man.

Now Rangers are pressing ahead and Kim is expected to ‘travel soon’ to then be put through his medical paces ahead of then being able to sign a contract.

The Gers will hope that there are no issues in Kim’s medical checks, having been stung with the Driouech saga.

How quickly Rangers can now push a deal for Kim over the line remains to be seen, while they will also want to guard against any potential hijack attempts.

Kim looks to have been convinced about making the move to Glasgow as he was initially unsure what to do this summer, with a stay at Girona a possibility.

Now a fresh chapter awaits in Scottish football and Rangers will hope he gets up to speed quickly, with the campaign so far under McInnes not going to plan.
