Jurgen Ekkelenkamp could soon be playing in the Pro League, with Club Brugge and Antwerp both interested in signing the Dutch midfielder.
With Charles De Ketelaere set to join AC Milan, Club Brugge are in need of a replacement, and according to Fabrizio Romano, they have entered talks with Hertha Berlin, feeling Ekkelenkamp, formerly of Ajax, could be the ideal player.
The Italian journalist says Antwerp are also interested though, with Mark van Bommel also seemingly keen on his compatriot after bringing fellow Dutchman Vincent Janssen to the club.
How much he would cost is unclear, but given Hertha Berlin paid Ajax just over €3 million for him, either club would presumably have to pay more than that.
However, given he only started six league games last season, he will most likely be keen on such a move while the club will presumably be open to letting him go.
