CoinPoker’s VIP Arena has come alive again during the Global Online Poker Championship, with high-stakes cash game tables filling up almost exactly a year after some of the platform’s biggest recorded sessions. Alongside the action, CoinPoker has also launched a giveaway with PokerGO worth more than $100,000 toward a seat at High Stakes Poker in Las Vegas.

Cash game traffic on CoinPoker has picked up through the middle of the Global Online Poker Championship, with high-stakes Pot-Limit Omaha tables seeing regular action.

BTCdemon showed up at the $1,000/$2,000 VIP Arena tables on August 25, first facing Barak “iWasOnly17” Wisbrod before Chris “Lukabrate” Nguyen, Hazeslip, Trance, and Firefox joined the session.

Former Cash Game World Champion Owen “PR0DIGY” Messere also got involved, running into an over-pot-sized bluff from BTCdemon, who had nothing more than Jack-high at the time.

One of BTCdemon’s pots reached $1.1 million, with Lukabrate’s pocket Kings losing to rivered trip Queens after a preflop all-in.

Jared Bleznick and PencilArms Return to the High-Stakes Tables

Jared Bleznick has also been a regular presence at the VIP Arena tables, taking on PencilArms across both $500/$1,000 and $200/$400 Pot-Limit Omaha.

Poker commentator Emil, known online as EmilTheRaccoon, flagged the pair’s return on August 24, calling them two legends at work as they battled it out at the $200/$400 level.

The two played similarly high-stakes sessions on CoinPoker last year, and their return lines up with a broader rise in activity at the site’s higher cash game limits.

This Week’s Action Echoes Last Year’s Biggest Cash Game Stacks

CoinPoker itself pointed out that the current run of high-stakes play falls close to the anniversary of some of the platform’s largest recorded cash game stacks.

Bleznick built a stack of around $1,500,000 playing cash games on CoinPoker at this time last year, one of the sessions the platform still points to as among its biggest.

Watching Bleznick and PencilArms back at the tables this week, Emil summed it up simply: sick is probably the only word describing those stakes.

CoinPoker and PokerGO Launch a High Stakes Poker Giveaway

CoinPoker has teamed up with PokerGO on a promotion offering players a shot at a seat at High Stakes Poker in Las Vegas.

Players who sign up with the code POKERGO and take part in weekly qualifiers, running September 6 through October 25 across CoinPoker’s cash games and tournaments, build leaderboard positions toward the giveaway.

Eight weekly winners advance to a final table draw on October 31. The grand prize covers a $100,000 High Stakes Poker buy-in, $10,000 for travel, and a stay on the Las Vegas Strip.

Other featured hands include an $80,000 No-Limit Hold’em pot won by calling a Jack-high bluff, and a $133,000 five-card PLO pot decided after running the board twice.
