OGC Nice are set to sign Colorado Rapids centre-back Moïse Bombito (24), according to a report from Fabrizio Romano. The Canada international has been identified by Les Aiglons as the ideal replacement for France international Jean-Clair Todibo (24). The latter has left the French Riviera to join Premier League side West Ham on a loan deal with an option to buy for a reported fee of around €40m.
OGC Nice’s outlay for Bombito reportedly rises to €7m. L’Equipe adds that the centre-back will undergo his Nice medical at the end of the week. It will be Bombito’s first spell in Europe after breaking through the ranks of the Canadian youth leagues, which earned him to join Major League Soccer franchise Colorado Rapids. Franck Haise’s OGC Nice will start their Ligue 1 campaign away at promoted side Auxerre this Sunday in the afternoon.
