The Columbus Crew have acquired midfielder Anass Zaroury on loan from Greek Super League side Panathinaikos, the club announced Thursday.
The 25-year-old Moroccan international's loan lasts through the 2027 MLS Sprint Season and includes a purchase option.
Zaroury arrives with 37 goals and 21 assists in 216 professional appearances since emerging with Belgian sides Lommel SK and Charleroi. He's also played in England for Burnley and Hull City, as well as in France with Lens.
Internationally, Zaroury has earned four caps with Morocco and played at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Previously, he represented Belgium at youth levels.
"Anass is a technical and audacious player who offers additional creativity and experience to our roster," said Crew general manager Issa Tall.
"He has showcased his skill set at various leagues in Europe, and we’re excited to welcome Anass to the Black & Gold."
The Crew have been among MLS's busiest teams this summer, headlined by signing Brais Méndez and Santiago Rodríguez as Designated Players.
Columbus have also added center back Eric Bailly and striker Josef Martínez, among others.
