Inter Milan head coach Cristian Chivu is reportedly looking to change his formation for Tuesday’s Coppa Italia showdown against Como.
According to Tuttosport via FCInterNews, the 45-year-old could switch from a traditional 3-5-2 setup to a 3-4-2-1.
Cristian Chivu had vowed to alter Simone Inzaghi’s trademark formation upon his arrival last summer.
However, he has had to stick with a 3-5-2 this season after Inter failed to sign Ademola Lookman in the summer.
Despite being forced to shelve his tactical overhaul for most of the campaign, Chivu is on the verge of hoisting the Serie A title.

With Ange-Yoan Bonny and Lautaro Martinez ruled out with injuries, Chivu finds himself strapped for attacking alternatives.
Indeed, Francesco Pio Esposito and Marcus Thuram remain the only senior options at his disposal.
Therefore, the former Parma boss is ready to change his setup, with Esposito reportedly set to lead the line tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Davide Frattesi and Andy Diouf could return to the starting lineup.
Last but not least, Hakan Calhanoglu is likely to make his first competitive start since the beginning of January.
