Como 1907 enjoyed a historic 2025-2026 season, securing the club’s first-ever Champions League qualification after finishing 4th in Serie A. It marks a remarkable rise for a club that was still playing in Serie C in 2021 and Serie B until 2024. Como 1907 therefore secured its first-ever European qualification in just its second Serie A season since being taken over in 2019.
There had been some uncertainty following the qualification: would Como be able to play its European matches at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia, which did not meet UEFA requirements?
Rumours suggested that Como could play its European matches at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia, home of Sassuolo, located around 200 km from Como.
The club therefore immediately began renovation work during the summer to bring the stadium up to the required standards.
And the good news is that the Daily Mail announced on Monday that UEFA has given the green light for Como to play its matches at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia! The club has therefore succeeded in completing the necessary upgrades in time for the return of the Champions League.
The Champions League league phase draw took place on Friday, with the schedule unveiled on Saturday.
Here are Como’s four home matches in the Champions League league phase this season:
The Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia is a unique and iconic stadium, located directly on the shores of Lake Como, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
