As reported by by Diario AS, Jacobo Ramón is not keen on returning to Real Madrid yet and will focus on getting minutes on the pitch, be it at Como or elsewhere.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have further stated that the Nico Paz trick has worked for the Lariani again, with Cesc Fàbregas very happy with his progress.
The 21-year old arrived at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia for €2.5 million, with Real Madrid having included a 50% sell-on clause alongside several buyback components to his contract.
However, Ramón has now become a rock at the heart of Como’s defence, having played the full 90 minutes in all their games thus far.
Already valued by Transfermarkt at €45 million, the Spain U21 international is attracting Premier League interest, with Arsenal and Chelsea monitoring him.
Ramón’s current contract with Como, running until June 2030, fetches him a gross annual salary of €510,000.
Endrick is finding out the hard way that, sometimes, the best way to thrive for Real Madrid is by getting playing minutes elsewhere.
Nico Paz has thrived at Como. Franco Mastantuono is looking promising for Fiorentina after a trying debut season at Bernabéu, and Ramón is the latest example.
All these players may yet be seen lifting silverware in the royal Blanco shirt in a few years’ time, but getting playing time in actual games is doing wonders for their development, something warming the bench at Real Madrid would never accomplish.
