MIAMI – Eight Concacaf nations will vie to become world champions when the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 kicks off on November 3, featuring an expanded format of 48 countries in the 20th edition of the tournament.

Canada, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, and the United States earned their place in the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup by winning their respective groups in the 2025 Concacaf U-17 Men's Qualifiers.

As the start of the tournament nears, we take a look at the Road to the U-17 World Cup for the eight Concacaf participants.

Canada

Canada qualified after a perfect 4-0-0 campaign to win Group A of the 2025 Concacaf U-17 Men's Qualifiers. The Reds earned victories over Turks and Caicos Islands, Anguilla, Curaçao, and Bermuda – showing defensive prowess with two clean sheets and no more than one goal allowed per game.

Aidan Evans led the way with seven goals and a Best XI selection and headlines Mike Vitulano’s 21-man squad for Canada’s ninth participation in the tournament.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica qualified with an undefeated 3-1-0 campaign to win Group B of the 2025 Concacaf U-17 Men's Qualifiers. Los Ticos were victorious over Sint Maarten, the British Virgin Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and drew with Guyana, to earn its 11th appearance at the U-17 World Cup.

Best XI selection Issac Badilla was a key piece in the qualification, with five goals and one assist, and is one of the big names on Rándall Row’s 21-man squad.

El Salvador

El Salvador secured its qualification with a perfect 3-0-0 record to win Group H of the 2025 Concacaf U-17 Men's Qualifiers. La Selecta defeated the Cayman Islands, Saint Lucia, and Jamaica, to secure its first ever participation in the U-17 World Cup.

Defender Steven Espinoza tallied four assists and was part of two clean sheet performances to earn a spot in the Best XI, and will be one of the 21 players available for manager Juan Carlos Serrano.

Haiti

Haiti qualified with a perfect 3-0-0 record to win Group E of the 2025 Concacaf U-17 Men's Qualifiers. Les Grenadiers did not concede in their victories against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Antigua and Barbuda, and tournament co-host Guatemala, to qualify to its third U-17 World Cup.

Goalkeeper Clifford Gene was named to the Best XI after tallying nine saves and three clean sheets, and will don the no. 1 jersey as part of Eddy Cesar’s 21-man squad.

Honduras

Honduras went a perfect 3-0-0 to finish first in Group D of the 2025 Concacaf U-17 Men's Qualifiers. Host of its group, La H earned wins over Saint Martin, Bonaire, and Puerto Rico to secure to its sixth U-17 World Cup participation.

Defender Yochua Palacios was named to the Best XI, helping Los Catrachos be near perfect on defense, and will be one of the leaders in Israel Canales’ 21-man squad.

Mexico

Mexico delivered an unbeaten campaign of 3-1-0 to finish first in Group C of the 2025 Concacaf U-17 Men's Qualifiers. With shutout wins over Dominica, Belize, and Barbados, Mexico held firm to win the group on goal difference after a 2-2 draw against Nicaragua. Mexico will make its 16th appearance at the U-17 World Cup.

Máximo Reyes contributed three goals and two assists, including the goal that helped deliver a tie against Nicaragua in the close race for the top spot, and returns as part of Carlos Cariño’s 21-man squad.

Panama

Panama went a perfect 3-0-0 to finish first in Group G of the 2025 Concacaf U-17 Men's Qualifiers. Victories over Grenada, Aruba, and the Dominican Republic helped Los Canaleros to their fourth U-17 World Cup.

Adrián Olivardia helped Panama to two clean sheets and will don the no. 10 shirt as part of Leonardo Pipino’s 21-man squad.

USA

The United States of America went undefeated, 3-0-0, to win Group F of the 2025 Concacaf U-17 Men's Qualifiers. The Stars and Stripes defeated the U.S. Virgin Islands, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and Cuba to reach a 19th World Cup.

Chase Adams scored 11 goals to finish as the top scorer of the qualifiers and a Best XI selection. Adams will don the No. 9 jersey as part of Gonzalo Segares’ 21-man squad in Qatar.
