Confirmed: Real Madrid fixture schedule for the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League first round | OneFootball

Real Madrid now know the complete route they will take through the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase, with José Mourinho’s side opening their European campaign at the Santiago Bernabéu against Inter Milan on September 8.

The Merengues had already discovered their eight opponents earlier this week, but the confirmation of the fixture schedule has now revealed how their journey towards the knockout stages will unfold.

Real Madrid face a demanding but balanced list of opponents, with Inter Milan, PSV, RB Leipzig and LASK Linz all visiting the Bernabéu. 

Their away trips will take them to Arsenal, Roma, Shakhtar Donetsk and AEK Athens.

Favourable Clásico-week Champions League fixture

One particularly interesting aspect of the schedule comes during the week of the Clasico against Barcelona at Spotify Camp Nou.

While Barcelona face a difficult trip to Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid will remain at home to take on RB Leipzig. 

Mourinho’s side will also avoid an early trip to north London, with their meeting against Arsenal coming on Matchday 6.

Before facing the Gunners in what is likely to be one of their most difficult away fixtures, Real Madrid will travel to face AEK Athens and host PSV Eindhoven at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Their second Champions League match will take them to Rome, another high-profile European occasion and a familiar city for Mourinho.

Real Madrid’s full Champions League schedule

After the Arsenal trip, Real Madrid will enter the final stretch of the league phase with two more fixtures.

The Merengues will host Austrian side LASK on Matchday 7 before concluding the opening phase away against Shakhtar Donetsk on the final matchday.

Shakhtar will play their home Champions League matches at Stamford Bridge, meaning Real Madrid’s final league-phase trip will take them to London rather than Ukraine.

The majority of Real Madrid’s European fixtures will begin at 9.00 pm, while the exception is the away match against AEK Athens at the Allwyn Arena, which has been scheduled for the earlier 6.45 pm kick-off.

The final round of the league phase will take place on January 27, with all teams playing simultaneously.
