Real Madrid face off against newly-promoted La Liga club Deportivo La Coruna later tonight in the Teresa Herrera Trophy.

This game happens to the penultimate pre-season friendly that Los Blancos will play before the new season gets underway.

And, Jose Mourinho will be eager to see how his team performs after close to a month of hard work in pre-season training before the new campaign kicks off.

Vinicius leads

Ahead of kickoff at Estadio Riazor, the Real Madrid manager has announced the starting lineup that will take the field.

And, superstar winger Vinicius Jr., fresh after signing his long-term contract renewal at Real Madrid, starts on the left flank and also captains the team, with Federico Valverde not in the lineup.

Endrick leads the line as the centre-forward, ahead of new signing Carlos Espi, while Brahim Diaz occupies the right wing. Arda Guler assumes the playmaking responsibilities from the No. 10 role.

Mourinho has deployed summer signing Bernardo Silva in one of the two pivot positions in midfield, aiming to test how the Portuguese star performs from a deeper role. Partnering him Eduardo Camavinga, whose future continues to remain uncertain.

In defence, Antonio Rudiger makes his first start in a pre-season game, pairing up with Real Madrid’s new No. 4, Dean Huijsen. Denzel Dumfries and Alvaro Carreras line up as the full-backs while Andriy Lunin starts in goal.
