The Jose Mourinho era is set to begin once again at the Santiago Bernabéu after La Liga officially unveiled the Real Madrid 2026/27 La Liga fixtures.

The Spanish giants will launch their domestic campaign at home against Real Sociedad during the weekend of August 14, marking Mourinho’s first competitive match since returning to the club.

Real Madrid fans have been eagerly waiting for the fixture release, and the calendar has now mapped out the road for a season that promises major challenges, crucial derbies and two highly anticipated Clasicos.

The Real Madrid fixture list for the 2026/27 starts with a home encounter against Real Sociedad before Mourinho’s side navigate an asymmetric schedule throughout the season.

La Liga has once again opted for a calendar in which the order of fixtures during the second half of the campaign differs from the first, creating an additional tactical challenge for clubs competing for the title.

Real Madrid’s final match of the 2026/27 La Liga season will also take place at the Santiago Bernabeu, where Deportivo will visit the Spanish capital on the weekend of May 30, 2027.

Attention, however, will turn towards the biggest fixtures on the schedule.

The first Madrid derby 2026/27 will take place on September 20 at the Metropolitano Stadium, with Atletico Madrid hosting Mourinho’s side on matchday seven.

The return meeting between the city rivals is scheduled for April 4 on matchday 30, when Atlético will travel to the Bernabéu in what could prove to be a decisive stage of the campaign.

As always, the dates for El Clasico 2026/27 were among the most anticipated announcements following the release of the La Liga calendar.

The first Barcelona vs Real Madrid meeting of the season is scheduled for October 25 at Spotify Camp Nou as part of matchday 10.

The second El Clasico 2026/27 encounter will be played on May 9 at the Santiago Bernabeu on matchday 35.
