Conor Coady was given the all clear after being knocked out by a late shot during Charlton Athletic’s 1-1 draw at Watford on Bank Holiday Monday.
The 33-year-old former Wolves captain was stretchered off at Vicarage Road on his 500th career club appearance.
The club said in a statement that he underwent scans at a local hospital, was discharged the same evening, and will be monitored under the appropriate protocols, while thanking Watford’s medical staff for their help.
The incident came in second-half stoppage time when a powerful effort struck Coady, leaving him unconscious.
Coady later used Instagram to thank the medical teams for their assistance.
The defender, who made over 300 appearances for Wolves, joined Wrexham in the summer.
With minutes limited, he moved to Championship strugglers Charlton on loan in January and has featured only a handful of times, with the Addicks edging away from the relegation places.
