Tottenham Hotspur travel to Turf Moor to take on Burnley on Saturday afternoon, with both bottom-half sides desperate to pick up points in the Premier League.

Neither club is where they hoped to be at this stage of the season, and points are becoming more valuable with each passing week.

This will be the first meeting between the teams since the opening weekend of the campaign, when Spurs ran out comfortable 3-0 winners.

A Richarlison brace on either side of half-time, both assisted by Mohammed Kudus, and a second-half strike from Brennan Johnson put the Clarets to the sword in London.

With his job on the line, manager Thomas Frank will demand more of the same from his troops, who have been disappointing over the past few months.

Frank has been under the cosh in recent weeks, with Tottenham languishing in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

However, the 2-0 Champions League win over Borussia Dortmund in midweek helped lift some of that burden.

That result ended a five-game winless streak in all competitions (D2, L3), one that included back-to-back 2-1 defeats against Aston Villa and West Ham United.

Frank will hope his side can carry that momentum into the Premier League as they return to domestic duties.

How Tottenham could line up

Frank has been dealing with injury woes since he arrived at Tottenham, with Lucas Bergvall the latest player to be sidelined for an extended period.

Looking to keep his squad fresh, the Danish tactician will likely make three changes from the midweek encounter in Europe.

Guglielmo Vicario retains his place while Micky van de Ven returns to centre-back in place of Kevin Danso. The Dutchman will partner Cristian Romero with Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie on the flanks.

Winter signing Conor Gallagher, who joined in a £34 million deal from Atletico Madrid, also returns to the team in place of the injured Bergvall. He’ll line up alongside Archie Gray.

Djed Spence is also likely to make way for Mathys Tel. Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert complete the supporting cast behind striker Dominic Solanke.
