Copa del Rey arrives in Seville as Gabi and Xabi Prieto deliver trophy

The Copa del Rey has arrived in Seville, with former Atlético de Madrid captain Gabi and former Real Sociedad midfielder Xabi Prieto helping to deliver the trophy.

According to AS, the pair brought the cup into the city by horse-drawn carriage en route to the Palacio de San Telmo.

At the palace, Junta de Andalucía president Juanma Moreno received the official Copa del Rey match ball from Rafael Louzán, president of the Spanish football federation.

Gabi and Prieto later posed for photos alongside the trophy inside the Palacio de San Telmo.

The ceremony marked the trophy’s presence in the Andalusian capital.
