Santos could face three derbies within a week between late August and early September after the Copa do Brasil draw paired them with Palmeiras. The CBF base dates are 26 or 27 August for the first leg and two or three September for the return. Cuca’s side await final confirmation of dates.

According to Diario Do Peixe, Santos also have Brasileirão fixtures before then, visiting Vasco on 16 August and hosting Mirassol on 23 August.

The Brasileirão trip to Corinthians is slated for 29, 30 or 31 August, sitting between the two cup ties.

The league match could affect the scrap near the bottom of Série A, while the cup tie carries a semi-final place and R$ nine million in prize money.

Away from the pitch, the board has scheduled 31 August for a presentation of a SAF proposal to the Conselho Deliberativo.

A group of club councillors issued a note expressing surprise and deep concern at an SAF plan arriving four months before the end of the current administration.
