The Copa Libertadores knockout phase begins on Tuesday 11 with two matches, after Tolima vs Del Valle was postponed following strong earthquakes in Colombia on Monday 10. According to Coluna Do Fla, the route to the final is already set for the 16 remaining clubs.

At 19:00 Brasília time, Fluminense host Independiente Rivadavia at the Maracanã. Later, Estudiantes face Universidad Católica in La Plata at 21:30. The return legs for both ties are next Tuesday 18.

Flamengo’s half of the bracket carries 11 previous Libertadores titles, while Palmeiras’ path features only five.

If Flamengo advance, their quarter-final would be against Del Valle or Tolima, neither of whom have won the competition. A semi-final could bring Estudiantes, four-time champions, or Corinthians, the 2012 winners.

Palmeiras could meet LDU, champions in 2008, in the quarter-finals, then Fluminense, the 2023 winners, in the semis. The other five teams on that side are yet to lift the Copa Libertadores.

Flamengo, the only Brazilian club with four Libertadores titles, open their tie at 21:30 Brasília time on Wednesday 12 at the Mineirão against Cruzeiro.
