The Italian football season officially begins tonight with the Coppa Italia First Round, so here’s how to watch games including Fiorentina vs. Benevento, Parma vs. Catania and Monza vs. Avellino.
The 2026/27 campaign kicks off this evening with the Round of 64 fixtures in the Coppa Italia, a trophy won by Inter last term beating Lazio 2-0 in the Final.

Every fixture in the competition up to the semi-final stage is played in a one-off match, to be decided after 90 minutes or going directly to penalties.
The only round played over home and away legs, and with the potential for extra time, is the semi-final.
It is set out like a tennis tournament or World Cup, with paths already planned from the draw.
The Coppa Italia coverage in the UK is shared between Premier Sports and DAZN.
This evening, Premier Sports 2 are showing Monza vs. Avellino from 19.40, following a replay of last season’s Final.
In the USA, the matches are shown on Paramount+ and the CBS Golazo Network.
Canada has its coverage on DAZN.
