The squad after the transfer window

“The transfer market is in the past now. We have to give our all with what we have. Those of us who are here have to have the desire, the motivation, and the responsibility to bring that enthusiasm back to the Valencia CF fans, and we're going to do that with the players we have. I deal with the needs I see privately, both in terms of profiles and names for reinforcements. My objective with my work is to help the team perform at its best. I've always shared my opinion about the squad's needs with the club; my focus is on getting the most out of the players. What's important is the commitment of those of us who are here and who are part of Valencia CF. We have the enthusiasm and responsibility to give our fans the best, and that's where my focus lies.”

Players unavailable for Sunday

“Rioja has not been able to complete any training sessions with the group, so he is left out -as is Sadiq, who will be absent for several weeks. Guido and De Haas are continuing their recovery process. Foulquier suffered an injury during training today and will also not be in the squad.”

FC Barcelona

“They’re a team with a lot of potential and options. They’ve had a huge investment, despite being the reigning champions, and that makes them a team with great possibilities. But we’re focused on Valencia CF; the fans want to see the team compete, and the squad want to redeem themselves. We have to demonstrate and fuel that competitive desire tomorrow at Mestalla.”

Reinforcements in attack

“Whenever there’s a setback like Sadiq’s injury, which will keep him out for several weeks, the club always have to consider that. Our focus is on using those of us who are here to compensate for any setback, with those of us who are here stepping up to the challenge.”

“The excitement he’s generating is huge. He was with us last season, although he didn’t get many minutes. He’s still young, but he inspires excitement. His energy and passion are palpable. We all need that enthusiasm, drive, and determination to prove ourselves. I hope he continues to help us.”

VCF Academy players called up

“There’s a group of players in the squad who we’re excited about because of what we see from them every day. Giving them opportunities is just as important as feeling that the players can take advantage of them. The squad is completed by Iker Córdoba, Mayol, Jaume Durà, Aimar, and Otorbi. They’re training with the first team and are generating excitement with their training session participation.”

Elliott

“He adapts very well to the different structures we work with. On the wing, he tends to cut inside, he has the quality to receive the cutback and link up with the forwards, and he doesn't feel pressured. He's going to improve the team's attacking options. He's more of a central player and can help us increase the team's attacking output.”

Jesús Vázquez and Gayà

“I’m happy with their performance; they offer us interesting possibilities, and having two players like them makes me very calm -because you know that any decision you make is the right one. There’s experience, youth, and a passion for the club with both of them.”
