Corinthians announce line-up to face Luverdense in Copinha second round

Later today, at 7:30 PM (Brasília time), Corinthians will face Luverdense, from Mato Grosso, at the Zezinho Magalhães Stadium in Jaú, for the second round of the group stage of the 2026 São Paulo Junior Football Cup. If they secure three points, Timãozinho can guarantee a spot in the knockout stage of the competition.

For the match, coach William Batista will not be able to count on right-back João Vitor ‘Jacaré’, midfielder Luiz Gustavo Bahia, and midfielder Gui Amorim – all called by the professional technical committee to complete training sessions. Thus, the Sons of Terrão were lined up with: Matheus Corrêa; Guilherme Pellegrin, Fernando Vera, Iago Machado, and Pires; Thomas Lisboa, Caraguá, Luiz Eduardo, Luizinho, Luiz Fábio ‘Favela’, and Tupã.

The bench options included: Gustavo Milani, Lorenzo Corrêa, Robert Lopes, Rodrigo Jr, Nicolas Araújo, Léo Agostinho, Ruan Victor, Pedro Thomas, and Vitinho Dourado. In the first round, it is worth remembering, Timãozinho defeated Trindade, from Goiás, by a score of 1 x 0.

After facing Luverdense this Tuesday (6), Corinthians will return to the field for the Copinha next Friday (9), to face XV de Jaú, for the third and final round of the group stage of the tournament.
