Corinthians announce new deal for defender João Pedro Tchoca

On the afternoon of this Tuesday (9), Corinthians announced the renewal of the contract of defender João Pedro Tchoca, 21 years old. The defender, who established himself in the main squad this season, signed an extension until November 2030.

“João Pedro Tchoca has renewed his contract with Timão! The defender, who came up through the People’s Team youth academy, will be a Corinthians player until November 2030,” wrote the club on its official social media channels. The defender posed alongside president Osmar Stabile and football executive Fabinho Soldado.

The young defender’s previous contract was valid until December 31, 2026, and had been signed just last year, more precisely in May 2024. Corinthians, however, did not reveal further details of the new contract, such as the release clause amount, for example.

Champion of the Copinha at the start of 2024, João Pedro Tchoca was promoted to the professional squad right after the victory, but spent the season on loan at Ceará, where he became one of the standouts of the Série B of the Brazilian Championship.

The defender returned to Corinthians at the beginning of 2025 and established himself in the squad. In total, the defender has played 31 matches for Timão’s professional team, 28 of them this season. Tchoca has one goal, one assist, and the Paulistão title this year with the main team.
