Corinthians have arrived in Santos with 25 players for Thursday’s Paulistão clássico, with Rodrigo Garro back in the squad.
According to Meu Timao, the team finished preparations early afternoon at CT Joaquim Grava, then travelled to their hotel, arriving at around 18:00. Kick-off is 19:30 at Vila Belmiro in round four.
The Argentine had not been named since surgery on the scaphoid bone in his left wrist during the first week of pre-season. The club had expected the number eight to be available for the Supercopa do Brasil on the first of February against Flamengo.
Dorival Júnior still has absentees. Memphis Depay remains in a muscular rebalancing process, despite returning to pitch work on Tuesday. Cacá is treating a strain to the left internal oblique, and José Martínez is in Venezuela to reissue his passport.
Corinthians are looking to respond after defeat to Red Bull Bragantino and a draw with São Paulo. They sit seventh on eight points, with Santos eighth on goal difference.
Squad: goalkeepers Felipe Longo, Kauê and Hugo Souza, full-backs João Vitor Jacaré, Hugo, Matheus Bidu and Matheuzinho, centre-backs André Ramalho, Gabriel Paulista, Gustavo Henrique and João Pedro Tchoca, midfielders André Carrillo, André Luiz, Breno Bidon, Charles, Dieguinho, Luiz Gustavo Bahia, Matheus Pereira, Raniele and Rodrigo Garro, forwards Gui Negão, Kayke, Pedro Raul, Vitinho and Yuri Alberto.
