Corinthians back in training, prepare to face Flamengo in Brasileirão

On the afternoon of this Tuesday, the 23rd, Corinthians returned to the Joaquim Grava Training Center to begin their preparation for the next commitment of the season. The Alvinegro will take the field at the Neo Química Arena this coming Sunday, the 28th, at 8:30 PM (Brasília time), to face Flamengo, the leader of the Brazilian Championship, in a match valid for the 25th round of the competition.

The activities began with strength training in the gym, followed by warm-ups on the field. Then, guided by coach Dorival Júnior, the athletes performed a ball possession exercise with post-loss pressure.

Right after the activity, the group was divided. The players who played more than 45 minutes in the defeat against Sport over the weekend returned to the internal part of the training center for a regenerative activity. Meanwhile, the other athletes stayed on the field and participated in a small-sided game exercise.

The week will continue with more training sessions, with activities at the training center scheduled for the morning this Wednesday, the 24th. Corinthians has 29 points in the Brazilian Championship, currently occupying the tenth position in the table. Additionally, they have not won at home in the tournament for six games – the last victory occurred in May, against Santos, in the ninth round.
