Corinthians beat São José away, claim sixth straight win in the NBB

Corinthians faced São José at the Ginásio Lineu de Moura, in São José dos Campos, in the interior of São Paulo, for the 28th game of the Novo Basquete Brasil, and won by a score of 103 to 95. With this victory, the Alvinegro reached its sixth consecutive win in the competition – the best streak since November 2025 – temporarily climbing to fifth place – 20 wins and eight losses, 48 points.

Coach Jece Leite started the following lineup: Elinho, Davaunta Thomas, Elyjah Clark, Victão, and Lucas Cauê. The bench was composed of: Cauê Borges, Tico Faria, Rafael Munford, Gabriel Novaes, Kauan Raymundo, Kaique, and Jamelão. The opponent started with: Adyel, Cauê, Léo Cravero, Anderson, and Miller.

The top scorer for Corinthians in the match was Elyjah Clark, with 35 points, his personal record in a Novo Basquete Brasil game. In addition, Lucas Cauê recorded 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Elinho, in turn, added 10 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists. The Alvinegro's performance in the first quarter was decisive for the victory, as they won it by 28 to 6.

The opponent responded in the next two quarters, winning 31 to 27 and 31 to 18, respectively, trying to close the gap. However, Corinthians recovered in the game and beat São José in the final quarter by 30 to 27 – 103 to 95 on the final scoreboard. Now, the Corinthians team returns to the court only in March, when they will visit Pato Basquete at 6:00 p.m. on the 7th, at the Ginásio do Sesi, in Paraná, for the 29th round of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB).
