Corinthians have stepped up preparations for Monday’s decisive Brasileirão Feminino quarter-final second leg against Cruzeiro, holding a 1-0 lead from Belo Horizonte.

According to Meu Timao, the squad returned to the training centre on Friday, starting in the gym, then a German-style warm-up in tight spaces, before Emily Lima led attacking tactical work tailored to the opponents.

The staff are waiting on three absentees. Left-back Juliete has been treating Achilles tendon inflammation and midfielder Dayana Rodríguez has missed recent sessions with muscle problems. Defensive midfielder Ana Vitória remains out with an abdominal muscle injury.

There was better news on forward Jhonson, who came off in the first leg with pain in her left thigh. Scans showed no injury, so she should be available to head coach Emily Lima.

Corinthians will finalise preparations over the weekend. The return match is scheduled for Monday, the Independence Day holiday, at Canindé at 17:00. A draw would be enough to reach the semi-finals.
