Salaries are now up to date, although sums linked to image rights, holidays and bonuses for reaching the Libertadores knockout stage remain outstanding.

Amid a strained financial picture, Corinthians are working to raise funds and lift two FIFA transfer bans, as well as another imposed by the CBF over delayed CNRD (Câmara Nacional de Resolução de Disputas) instalments.

In parallel, the board are negotiating a new deal for Memphis Depay. The Dutch forward is entitled to R$ 42 million after meeting targets and is open to discussing an instalment plan to enable his stay.

The coaching staff maintain the squad remain committed to this season’s aims. They are also pushing to close in on the top four in the Campeonato Brasileiro.

Next up is Rosario Central in Argentina on Thursday at 21:30, the first leg of the Libertadores last 16.
