Corinthians close to loaning Félix Torres to Internacional

According to Globo.com, Corinthians and Internacional are finalising a deal to loan Félix Torres, with the Ecuadorian defender agreeing a move until the end of 2026.

The agreement includes an option to buy, with the pre-set fee remaining undisclosed.

Club executives are handling paperwork and have begun exchanging documents.

Torres is not in Corinthians' plans, and the club has sought to move him on since last year to reduce the wage bill and free a squad slot. He remains under contract until the end of 2027.

He joined in 2024 from Santos Laguna in Mexico for 6.5 million dollars, about R$ 31 million at the time. Corinthians delayed payment, and a resulting debt has left the club under a FIFA transfer ban that remains in force.

As they work on Torres's exit, Corinthians are negotiating for another centre-back.
