Corinthians have completed their penultimate week of training before their 29th-round trip to Internacional in the Brasileirão.

The club said in a statement that Saturday began with a tactical video in the Sala de Preleção Flexform at CT Joaquim Grava, followed by gym activation and possession work in the warm-up.

The squad was then split into three teams of eight for small-sided games, with head coach Fernando Diniz using the drill to work on behaviours and decision-making.

The players have Sunday off, then train on Monday and Tuesday before travelling to Porto Alegre.

Goalkeeper Hugo Souza, right-back Matheuzinho and midfielder Breno Bidon did not take part, as they were with Brazil for Saturday’s win over India, and the trio should return for the league fixture. André Carrillo was also absent on Peru duty.

Corinthians are 14th on 32 points and seeking to halt a run of six straight league defeats. Kick-off is at 19:30 on Wednesday, 7, at Beira-Rio.
