Corinthians' Fazendinha floodlight upgrade is close to finishing, but night matches will only resume once the Federação Paulista de Futebol has inspected the ground, which has been barred for evening games since May 2025.

According to Meu Timao, the works should be completed in the coming days and the new system passed its first checks in recent days. The timetable slipped slightly after wiring was stolen during Carnival.

The club's heritage and works department led the project, replacing cabling and installing new floodlights purchased by Corinthians. Spending to date is estimated at just over R$ 400,000, after three external quotes came in above R$ two million, prompting an in-house approach limited to equipment purchases.

Following installation, a fine alignment was carried out to remove any shadows on the pitch. A company handled this alignment free of charge and was not named. Testing then took place at Fazendinha and was rated positively in internal records.

President Osmar Stabile still hopes to pursue a wider redevelopment, including increased capacity, although current finances mean it is treated as a long-term plan.

The women's team have played night fixtures away from the ground for almost 10 months. Last month they used Neo Química Arena for a 2-2 draw with Fluminense in the Brasileirão second round, a match that produced a R$ 38,619.46 loss.

Their next scheduled home game is at 21:00 on the 23rd against América-MG in the fifth round, with the venue yet to be confirmed in the CBF system. There is an expectation it could be staged at Fazendinha.
