Corinthians have added goalkeeper Felipe Longo to the treatment room. The club said in a statement that he has sustained a sprain to the ligament in his right elbow, minutes after releasing the line-up to face Cruzeiro.

With Longo out, academy product Kauê, the third-choice keeper, is on the bench. Sixteen-year-old Gustavo Milani travelled with the squad but was left out.

On Sunday, Matheus Corrêa was included in the matchday group, then returned to the under-20s, who play Bahia on Thursday in the Brasileiro in the north-east.

Longo’s setback takes the number in the medical room to five. Matheus Pereira and Yuri Alberto are sidelined, the latter with a grade 2 left biceps femoris injury, Kaio César has a right hamstring problem, and Hugo Farias is recovering from arthroscopy.

Zakaria Labyad is not yet available as he builds match fitness, while Fabrizio Angileri will make his second debut. Kick-off is at 20:00 at the Mineirão in the fourth round of the Brasileirão, with Corinthians fielding a rotated side as focus shifts to the Paulistão semi-final.
