Corinthians could receive about R$ two million from Gabriel Martinelli’s transfer from Arsenal to Al-Hilal, via Fifa’s solidarity mechanism. The €70 million deal was agreed in early September, becoming Arsenal’s record sale.

He moved to Arsenal in 2019 for R$ 30 million. He made 278 appearances, scored 62 goals and supplied 34 assists, helping end the club’s 22-year wait for the Premier League title last season. He also featured at the past two World Cups for Brazil.

For Al-Hilal, he has four appearances and three goals, all scored last Saturday in a 6-0 win over Al-Taawoun in the Saudi league.
