Corinthians defender draws interest from Spanish clubs, says journalist

With the approach of the transfer window reopening, some European clubs are already making moves, and the name of Félix Torres, Corinthians' defender, is on the radar of Spanish teams. According to journalist Matteo Moretto, a market specialist and columnist for the traditional daily Marca, the Ecuadorian defender has caught the attention of teams like Osasuna and Getafe.

Moretto also points out that other LaLiga teams are monitoring the player's situation and are considering making offers when the Spanish market reopens in January. In Spain, the window will be active between January 1 and February 2, 2026.

Currently, Félix Torres is called up by the Ecuador national team. In the recent friendly against Canada, which ended in a 0-0 draw, the defender remained on the bench and did not play.

At Corinthians, the situation is not favorable for the Ecuadorian. Since the beginning of the season, he has lost his place and become a substitute. His last match was on August 27, in the 1-0 victory over Athletico-PR in the Copa do Brasil. As a starter, he hasn't appeared since August 3, when he played as an improvised right-back in the 1-1 draw with Fortaleza in the Brazilian Championship.

Today, Torres occupies the last position in the hierarchy of defenders under coach Dorival Júnior. Out of the 36 matches led by the current coaching staff, he has only played nine times. The club is also monitoring the player's behavior off the field, as the defender has shown signs of discouragement.

In addition to the challenging technical phase, Corinthians is simultaneously dealing with a transfer ban imposed by Santos Laguna, Félix Torres' former club in Mexico. To register new players again, Timão needs to settle almost R$ 40 million with the Mexicans by December.
