Corinthians defender injured, ruled out of Women's Under-17 World Cup

Corinthians will face a significant loss among its young athletes called up for the Brazil Under-17 National Team. Defender Kaillany Rafinah was removed from the squad preparing for the World Cup in the category after suffering a right ankle sprain during a training session last Sunday.

In a joint evaluation between the club's and the National Team's medical departments, it was determined that the player would not have enough recovery time to participate in the international competition. As a result, Kaillany will return to Parque São Jorge, where she will continue her treatment.

To replace the defender, the National Team's technical committee called up forward Yasmim Rodrigues from Botafogo, who will join the training group scheduled between September 30 and October 7.

Corinthians remains the club with the most representatives in the Under-17 National Team. With Kaillany's cut, six players continue to be part of the Amarelinha squad: goalkeeper Ana Morganti, defenders Dany Pereira and Dulce Maria, and midfielders Júlia Faria, Lara Mel, and Pepê.

The group continues to prepare for the World Cup, which will be held from October 17 to November 8 in Morocco. Brazil is aiming to win its first title in the competition, which has been held since 2008.
