Corinthians have again delayed August salaries for players and the coaching staff, which were due on the fifth working day of September, according to Globo.com.

The board have not set a deadline to settle the squad and staff salaries. It is not the first delay this year, with CLT-registered wages paid days late in other months.

The club have been unable to register signings for 110 days because of a transfer ban, and currently have three active sanctions, two from FIFA and one from the CBF.

Corinthians closed the first half of 2026 with a deficit of R$ 246.039 million. Total debt stands at about R$ 2.8 billion.

The Corinthians delegation are in La Plata, Argentina, to face Estudiantes on Wednesday at 21:30 Brasília time in the first leg of the Conmebol Libertadores quarter-finals.
