Corinthians duo shine in CIES ranking

In recent days, the CIES Football Observatory released a survey on the most valuable players in the current edition of the 2025 Brazilian Championship. In it, Corinthians' forward Yuri Alberto ranks seventh, valued at 21.2 million euros, approximately R$ 130.11 million at the current exchange rate.

The criteria considered those athletes in the Brazilian Championship with the highest potential to be sold for the highest values. The leader of the list is Vitor Roque (Palmeiras) – 78.6 million euros, followed by Samuel Lino (Flamengo) – 40.3 million euros, Álvaro Montoro (Botafogo) – 24.8 million euros, Rayan (Vasco) – 23.4 million euros, and Kaio Jorge (Cruzeiro) – 21 million euros.

Behind Yuri Alberto, completing the top-10, are: Facundo Torres (Palmeiras) – 20.9 million euros, Gonzalo Plata (Flamengo) – 20.4 million euros, and Agustín Giay (Palmeiras) – 19.5 million euros. The calculation process for the list considers the following criteria: contract duration, performance, market trends, age, and popularity. The CIES members monitor players in 64 countries.

Since his arrival at Corinthians in mid-2022 from Zenit, Russia, he has scored 75 goals and provided 20 assists in 201 matches for the Alvinegro (172 as a starter), with 90 wins, 51 draws, and 60 losses – a little over 53% success rate. He is the club's top scorer in the 21st century with 75 goals and the highest scorer in the history of the Neo Química Arena – inaugurated in 2014 – with 45 goals in 105 matches.

In the 2025 season, Yuri Alberto scored eight goals in 12 derbies he played. Of the total, four were against Santos, two against Palmeiras, and two against São Paulo. Among the players from the major capital teams this year, he is the player with the most goals in derbies. It is worth noting that the striker is Corinthians' top scorer of the season with 18 goals (10 in the Brasileirão) and two assists in 52 games.

Breno Bidon

Revealed in Corinthians' youth academy and present in the professional squad since March 2024, the midfielder Breno Bidon, 20 years old, ranks second – with 2,881 points – in the ranking of young players with the greatest potential to be prospects for the Brazilian National Team. The leader of the ranking is Rayan, from Vasco, with 3,117 points.

Besides Bidon, two other athletes revealed in Terrão appear in the CIES survey: winger Pedro, from Zenit (Russia) – third position with 2,435 points – and Felipe Augusto, from Trabzonspor (Turkey), in fourth place with 2,017 points. The criterion adopted for the survey was the quality and quantity of minutes on the field.

Born in 2005, Breno Bidon is considered one of Corinthians' greatest assets for future revenue. In 94 games wearing the Corinthians jersey (70 as a starter), he has scored two goals and provided three assists. In total, there are 43 wins, 23 draws, and 26 losses. The number 27 was an important piece in the team's surge in the last edition of the Brasileirão and in the conquest of the 2025 Paulistão, against Palmeiras, in Itaquera.
