Corinthians were beaten 3-2 by Campo Mourão on Sunday morning in round nine of the Liga Nacional de Futsal, extending their winless run to seven matches, the club's worst sequence in the competition since 2023.

According to Meu Timao, the side are coached by Fernando Malafaia.

Their last LNF victory came on 3 April, a 2-0 home win over Magnus at Ginásio Wlamir Marques. Since then they had gone six without a win, four defeats and two draws, before Sunday's loss made it seven.

The previous time Corinthians endured such a stretch in the league was nearly three years ago. Between June and July 2023 they went seven games without a win, recording five draws and two defeats.

That run began on 17 June with 1-1 against Esporte Futuro at Ginásio Wlamir Marques, then 4-4 with Minas at home on 23 June and 1-1 at Marreco's Ginásio Arrudão on 30 June. It continued 2-2 with Assoeva at Wlamir Marques on 4 July and 3-3 at Arena Sorocaba against Magnus on 15 July, before defeats of 4-1 to Santo André at Ginásio Adib Moyses Dib on 24 July and 3-1 to Jaraguá at Wlamir Marques four days later closed the sequence.

The latest defeat leaves Corinthians 13th with five points from nine matches. They remain without an away win in the LNF and the relegation zone is drawing nearer.

Next up is Tubarão Futsal in round 10, on Saturday 28 at 19:30, at Ginásio Wlamir Marques.
