Corinthians drew 0-0 away to Vitória in the 12th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, extending a near 10-year unbeaten run at the Barradão.

Meu Timao notes the longevity of this run. The last defeat at the stadium came on 22 May 2016, a 3-2 home win for Vitória. Uendel and Fagner scored for Corinthians, Leandro Domingues, Marinho and Kieza for the hosts.

The unbeaten sequence began on 25 April 2018 with a 0-0 draw in the Copa do Brasil last-16 first leg, then a 2-2 league draw on 21 October 2018. Jadson and Roger netted for Corinthians, Rhayner and Neilton replied.

Corinthians returned to Salvador in 2024, falling behind to Alerrandro before Yuri Alberto and Memphis Depay turned it around for a 2-1 league win. Last season brought another away victory, 1-0, sealed by Charles.

This is the first time this century Corinthians have visited the Barradão in three successive years. The only other similar run was 1996 to 1998, with defeats in 1996 and a 1997 friendly, then a 1998 league win.

At the Barradão overall, Corinthians lead the head-to-head with five wins, four defeats and eight draws in 17 games, scoring 18 and conceding 20. Despite the clean sheet, the result leaves Fernando Diniz’s side 17th, in the relegation zone on 12 points from 12 matches.
