Corinthians face Atlético-MG in 2026 Women's Brasileirão opener

Corinthians faces Atlético-MG at the MRV Arena on Friday night (13th) at 9 PM (Brasília time), in a match valid for the first round of the 2026 Brazilian Championship. The Brabas make their debut in the competition after finishing as runners-up in both the Club World Cup and the Brazilian Supercup.

The Brabas enter the field buoyed by their most recent Brazilian Championship title. In 2025, the alvinegro team triumphed over Cruzeiro in the final and took home the trophy. Now, the goal is to achieve their eighth championship win since the revival of women's football at the club in 2016.

Probable Corinthians lineup

Coach Lucas Piccinato is expected to start the match with: Nicole Ramos; Gi Fernandes, Thais Ferreira, Letícia Teles (Erika) and Tamires; Dayana Rodríguez, Ana Vitória and Duda Sampaio (Vic Albuquerque); Belén Aquino, Jaqueline and Gabi Zanotti (Jhonson).

Refereeing

The referee will be Deborah Cecilia Cruz Correia (PE), assisted by Suellen das Graças Gonçalves Silva (MG) and Andressa Oliveira Pereira (MG). The fourth referee will be Francielly Fernanda Lima de Castro. This stage of the competition does not include VAR.

Broadcast

Corinthians fans can watch the match exclusively on SporTV (a closed channel of the Globo Group). After the final whistle, Central do Timão will provide a summary of the 90 minutes.

Next match

After facing Atlético-MG, Corinthians will play against Fluminense next Friday (20th) at 9:30 PM (Brasília time), possibly at the Neo Química Arena. The match will be valid for the second round of the Brazilian Championship.
