Corinthians face race to meet R$151m sales target before windows shut | OneFootball

Corinthians are racing to move players on to meet a R$ 151 million 2026 budget target as major European windows near their close. The club has little time left to lock in deals.

According to Meu Timao, England, Spain, Germany, Italy and France shut on 1 September, leaving about a week from Tuesday for proposals to be finalised. Other markets run longer, with the Netherlands and the United States to 2 September, Qatar 3 September, Türkiye and Ukraine 4 September, Russia 10 September, Brazil 11 September, Portugal 15 September, the United Arab Emirates 28 September and Saudi Arabia 12 October.

The board aim to sell at least one player to ease finances and to navigate three transfer bans, two from FIFA and one from the CNRD at the CBF, which bar new registrations. In July, executive Marcelo Paz said they would have to sell, noting genuine enquiries and a warming market.

Yuri Alberto is the leading candidate to depart, and has said he would like to leave if a suitable offer arrives before the deadline. Goalkeeper Hugo Souza, right-back Matheuzinho and midfielders André Luiz and Breno Bidon are also well regarded.

Juventus showed interest in André Luiz during this window and an internal expectation of an official bid emerged, but none has arrived. He and Yuri Alberto are recovering from grade 2 hamstring injuries.

Other players drew enquiries too. Corinthians rejected Argentinos Juniors’ offer of 1.1 million dollars, about R$ 5.6 million, for a loan with an obligation to buy right-back Pedro Milans.
